Polly Tuckett is a Brighton-based mother of two and a writer. Gaining a 1st in French at Sussex University, she went on to complete an MA in English there. She’s taught Creative Writing, English and French to groups of all ages for over 10 years. With a background in research and editing for disabled children, she’s now writing her first novel for teenagers, heeding take-no-prisoners advice from her teenage son. She writes short stories too, with stories long-listed for the Bridport and Fish prizes. She co-directs Short Fuse, runs writing workshops and hosts a monthly event at Brighton’s Komedia Club.
