For many years Peter Tabern has been an award-winning producer of family drama. His productions include 'FEATHER BOY' and the screen version of 'STIG OF THE DUMP' which won an International Emmy. He has also won awards for his screen writing – most recently the BAFTA for his adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s ‘JOHNNY AND THE BOMB’. Work in progress includes a new supernatural thriller series for ITV. ‘Last year he completed a stage play for the National Theatre youth festival, ‘Connections’. Entitled ‘THE BOOK OF EVERYTHING’ and based on a novel by Dutch writer, Guus Kuijer, it is part of the 2008 Connections Festival. He has always been drawn to work that explores the boundary between 'real' and 'not-real'. The longed-for friend in 'Stig of The Dump', the impossible wish in 'Feather Boy' and in 'CLAY' something altogether darker. 'CLAY', adapted from the novel by David Almond, is Peter's latest completed production and is due to be screened on BBC 1 early this year.
