David Mackintosh is a graphic designer working in children's and general publishing. As art director with illustrated books publisher Scriptum Editions, he worked with photographers and photographic collections before joining Hodder Children's Books as picture book designer. David has designed the books of authors including David Melling, Nick Maland, Mick Inkpen, Cressida Cowell and Neal Layton and began designing Lauren Child's books, such as Hubert Horatio Bartle Bobton Trent and Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Book. He has been working with Lauren since 2000 and acts as design consultant for Milkmonitor Ltd, as well as designing books in the Clarice Bean series and Charlie and Lola. He has recently finished Series 3 of Tigeraspect's Charlie and Lola, where he was design consultant.
